Dr. Dennis King, Professor and Director of Natural Capital Research Group at the University of Maryland, Center for Environmental Science, has a diverse and prestigious research background in environmental economics and risk analysis.
His specific interests include environmental & mitigation trading systems, economics of ecological restoration, market and non-market valuation of natural resources and environmental enforcement economics.
Dr. King, together with Dr. Erik Lichtenburg and Dr. John Majsztrik at University of Maryland, College Park lead the economic component of this project. They are researching the private and public benefits of the technology and this approach, quantifying the tangible and intangible benefits to both farmers and society.
