Dr. George Kantor, System Scientist at the Robotics Institute is the lead of the technical development for this project. George has been active in developing advanced multi-hop sensor nodes for use by the horticultural industry since 2003.
David Kohanbash, Engineer Extraordinaire is helping develop both the next generation hardware and software, in collaboration withe Decagon Devices and Antir Software, that will be used to precisely control irrigation water applications in the most intensive of horticultural applications.
The general approach is to merge the existing generation of CMU and Decagon systems, taking the strengths from each to create a superior commercial product.
