Production Objectives

We intend to monitor the water content of green roofs to achieve two main purposes:

Firstly, we want to provide a cost-effective system that can accurately quantify the amount of stormwater retained by the green roof at any one time, to provide real-time efficiency data for specific roofs and individual storm events.

This will enable both the research community and urban planners access to short and long-term data that is both site-specific (for different cities) and for indidivual green roofs (which have different substrate composition, depth and plant species).
